Hacking group Anonymous KSA, a notorious threat actor, is
targeting India in a series of cyber attacks.

The Saudi hacking group Anonymous KSA announced a series of successful cyber attacks targeting institutions
and websites in India. These attacks come as part of a coalition campaign in response to India’s policies towards
Israel and Palestine. The group holds itself fully responsible for the damage resulting from these attacks.
Cyber attacks carried out by the group:
Medanta Hospital data system hacked in Gurgaon:
The group announced its success in hacking into the data system of Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, India, and
accessing 2,763,378 medical records containing all patient medical information, including notes, medications, and
medical reports. This operation is part of a broader campaign targeting Indian institutions.
Disabling Vodafone Idea Limited servers:
The group reported its success in disrupting Vodafone Idea Limited’s servers several times, and gaining access to
the company’s main servers. The group was able to breach thousands of the company’s detailed databases, and
published part of the hacked data through its channels on Telegram.
Disabling Indian government websites:
As part of a series of attacks, the group announced the disruption of a number of Indian government websites,
including:
1. wbregistration.gov.in : Website of the West Bengal Registration and Stamp Revenue Directorate.
2. pencil.gov.in : A platform to combat child labor in India.
3. ditec.assam.gov.in : The official website of the Directorate of Information Technology, Assam.
4. zipnet.delhipolice.gov.in : Delhi Police Missing Persons Information System.
5. ndacivrect.gov.in : National Defense Academy civilian recruitment portal.
Motives and warnings:
Anonymous KSA noted that these attacks come in response to India’s normalization of ties with Israel and its poor
treatment of Palestinians. The group called on all individuals and institutions to stand by it in supporting the
Palestinian cause and continue to pressure governments to achieve justice.
