	"plain_text": "LockBit leaks data stolen from South Korean National Tax Service\r\nBy Pierluigi Paganini\r\nPublished: 2023-04-01 · Archived: 2026-04-05 14:25:43 UTC\r\nThe LockBit ransomware gang announced the publishing of data stolen from the South\r\nKorean National Tax Service.\r\nOn March 29, 2023, The Lock Bit ransomware gang announced the hack of the South Korean National Tax Service. The\r\ngroup added the South Korean agency to its Tor leak site and announced the release of stolen data by April 1st, 2023 in case\r\nthe ransom was not paid.\r\nThe National Tax Service (NTS) which is mainly in charge of the assessment and collection of internal taxes was established\r\nas an external organization of the Ministry of Finance on March 3, 1966.
