For example, you can install, uninstall, activate, set up,\r\nand restart Apple Remote Desktop components.\r\nLearn how to control a remote Mac with Screen Sharing with the kickstart command-line utility in macOS Mojave\r\n10.14 and later.\r\nYou can find the kickstart tool at:\r\n/System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart\r\nType the commands in this article as one line of text. If the text wraps as you enter it, that's fine. Don’t press the\r\nReturn key until you’ve entered the entire command.\r\nFor more information about the kickstart command, use the -help flag:\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -help\r\nThe commands in this article work with Apple Remote Desktop 3.2 and later.\r\nHere are commands that you can use:\r\nRestart the ARD Agent and helper:\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\nrestart -agent\r\nTurn on Remote Desktop Sharing, allow access for all users, and enable the menu extra:\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\nactivate -configure -allowAccessFor -allUsers -privs -all -clientopts -setmenuextra -menuextra\r\nyes\r\nTurn on Remote Desktop Sharing, allow access for specified users:\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\nactivate -configure -allowAccessFor -specifiedUsers You must use the -configure, -access, and -privs\r\noptions in a separate command to specify the set of users and their access privileges. For example, this\r\ncommand is for users with the short names \"teacher\" and “student.\" It gives them access to observe (but\r\nnot control) the computer, and to send text messages:\r\nhttps://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201710\r\nPage 1 of 2\n\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\nconfigure -users teacher, student -access -on -privs -ControlObserve -ObserveOnly -\r\nTextMessages Unlike other kickstart options, you can’t combine the allowAccessFor options with other\r\nkickstart options. You must use it as in the last two samples above. You might have to call kickstart more\r\nthan once to finish a computer’s setup.\r\nRemove access privileges for specified users (\"student\" in this example):\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\nconfigure -users student -access -off\r\nDisable ARD Agent and remove access privileges for all users:\r\nsudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -\r\ndeactivate -configure -access -off\r\nPublished Date: June 05, 2024\r\nSource: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201710\r\nhttps://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201710\r\nPage 2 of 2",
